Postcard of the Old Castle and Black Gate, Newcastle-on-Tyne, in sepia addressed to Miss A. Sample, dated 28th June 1905. In front of the black gate are two horse-drawn carriages with the railway line separating the two buildings. Next to the black gate is a building whose wall is covered in advertisements. There is a handwritten message in black ink on the reverse and a green half penny stamp.
